Heritage Hone & Gage, Inc. was founded in 1995 out of a 500 s.f. garage. Founder, Doug Spitery has always had an attention to detail; leading up to opening his doors for business he equipped the garage with central air and epoxied the floors to establish a controlled environment. He then acquired two machines, a vertical and power stroke. These machines were stripped down to the last nut and bolt and were then painted and rebuilt like new so that machine breakdowns would not cause a late delivery. A year later Heritage Hone leased a 1000 s.f. building, acquired more equipment & hired its first employee. In 2001 they moved into a 2000 s.f. building, growing & acquiring machines to increase their capacity. In October of 2012 Heritage Hone & Gage, Inc. purchased a building in despair which they renovated and moved into, July of 2013. This 5000 s.f. facility will help to increase their capacity and better serve their customers.
Having grown up going to work with his father on saturdays and starting employment with the family honing business in high school, founder Doug Spitery has been surrounded by honing all his life.
Established and Trusted since 1995
